Upon arriving, you’ll select a candle container-- all of the containers were once wine bottles that were cleaned, cut and decorated: all cuts of glass are unique, making no two containers the same.
You’ll also receive a curator card-- this will help you organize your thoughts as you navigate through the four stations. INTENT, SCENT & DECOR can be visited at any pace and any order, the POUR station must be visited only after you’ve decided on your SCENT and filled your candle container with INTENT.
SCENT: Put your olfactory sense to the test. Sniff out a single scent you love, or combine two for a more personal scent aesthetic.
DECOR: Peruse our stamps to create a label for your candle, with planetary and zodiac symbols or other designs.
INTENT: Choose ordinary, everyday objects to rest at the bottom of your candle, the “bunt” of the wine bottle. Explore the reading materials, oracle cards and objects provided to ground your candle with intention.
POUR: Once you’ve settled on a scent profile and filled your container with intention, it’s time create your candle! Receive wax in a mason jar, add color first, then scent, mindfully mix, then pour it all into your wine bottle base, and voila! Instant ambiance, created by you.
Please note: the POUR station can only accommodate 6-7 people at a time, and wax takes about 20-30 minutes to melt! You must plan to visit the Pour Station at least 30 minutes before you plan to leave. Last wax pour happens at 3pm.
More about our venue:
Culture is more than just beer. Culture is an idea. An idea that we are not all that different from each other and that art, community spaces, and yes… beer too can bring us together. That is why Culture embodies the ethos of the neighborhoods we call home through monthly art shows featuring local artists, fundraisers, and community events. But also by brewing beer styles that anyone from beer-novice to beer-nerd can enjoy.
It's also a Gluten Reduced Brewery, through an enzymatic process in our brewing we reduce gluten in all beers to be safe for intolerance, and moststyles are safe for Celiac's Disease.
